Speed tests need a far endpoint
To measure Mbps, your browser must download and upload real data. Some sites host huge files on their own servers (expensive and easy to bottleneck). Others use a large CDN footprint.
MySpeedTest.in uses Cloudflare’s public speed endpoints so heavy traffic stays on the CDN edge — closer to how modern “fast” tests feel — while our origin stays light.
Ookla, Fast.com, and browser labs
Ookla-style tools and Fast.com are popular references users search for. Different methodologies, servers, and parallel connections mean results will not match to the last Mbps. Use one tool consistently when comparing days, and treat cross-site differences as expected.
What we add beyond raw Mbps
Alongside CDN throughput, we surface gaming ping samples, jitter, quality scores, and bufferbloat. That combination answers “can I stream?” and “can I play?” better than download alone.
